Bob Lott
September 11, 2026 · vs. Karns City
Bob Lott is the Veteran of the Game honoree for Military & First Responder Appreciation Night.
Bob Lott graduated from Punxsy High School in 1968. After receiving an Associate Degree in Electrical and Electronics Technology from Penn State, he entered the United States Air Force. His career field in the Air Force was in electronics, where he maintained and operated Automatic Tracking Radar equipment. During the Vietnam War in Southeast Asia, he operated the radar to direct B52 bombers over targets in Vietnam.
Bob has been a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars for 35 years and has served in all officer positions. He is currently the Quartermaster and Adjutant for VFW Post 2076 in Punxsutawney.
Bob is a full-time volunteer for various organizations. His most rewarding work is cleaning tombstones of veterans at various cemeteries.
Fred Dunkin
August 28, 2026 · vs. Bradford
Fred Dunkin graduated from Punxsy High School in 1971 and participated in cross country and track. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1971–1975 as a traffic controller.
A proud supporter of PAH Athletics for 50 years, Fred was recognized at the August 28 game against Bradford.

Kelly Surkala
August 28, 2026 · vs. Bradford
Kelly Surkala graduated from DuBois Area High School in 1996 and served in the United States Air Force from 1996–2004. She spent four years on active duty at Andrews Air Force Base in Washington, D.C., working in the labor and delivery ward of Malcolm Grow Military Hospital.
After active duty, Kelly served in the reserves with Pittsburgh’s 911th Airlift Wing. In its medical unit, she was in charge of running the Medical Clinic Laboratory.
Kelly began working for the Punxsutawney Area School District in 2013 as a secretary for Special Education. In the 2018–19 school year, she became the secretary for Transportation and the secretary for the assistant principal for grades 11 and 12. In the 2022–23 school year, she was hired as transportation director.
